The Building of a Dry Stone House
May 11 & 12, 2013
Brian Fairfield, Matt Carter and Andrew Pighills will visit Blackrock to conduct a dry stone walling workshop. Over the course of this two day class participants will work with these highly accredited craftsmen in the construction of a small stone building. From the foundation up, including windows and doorways, the class will build the walls of this structure. Later, a green roof will be installed (this may be another workshop as well, depending on the enthusiasm). Call or e-mail to secure a spot. This is an advanced stone walling workshop, so we ask that participants have experience working with stone. However, spectators are encouraged to come watch, learn and ask questions.

The Blackrock Farm Open House

While this isn't really a focused workshop it is the biggest day of the year for our nursery. The Blackrock staff will be on hand to help answer questions, there will be a few large, big ticket trees for sale and the farm will be looking its best.
It's the perfect day to visit Kennebunkport's nursery.
